Strange behaviour when opening .xls or .doc files by Webdav URL in IE

Hello, 

I noticed a strange behaviour when opening .xls and .doc files from WEBDAV
through their URL in Internet Explorer browser:

* When opening .xls/Excel files, the user is asked again for the password,
even if already logged. When cancelling 3 times the login window, the file
opens...

* after closing a .doc/WORD file opened from its Webdav URL, a login popup
appears... (why when closing???)

I would like to know if this behaviour is normal or not, and if it is
possible to do some changes to avoid this (the unnecessary login popups)?
