I've no problem with this;  a mock-up, however created, isn't a bad
idea.   We have an advantage this time that the sub-project is spear
headed by someone who has been around awhile;  my experience is that
people who ride in volunteering to help just as quickly ride out again
(usually they simple vanish).  I've seen that many times on many
projects.   Follow through by people who have gradually risen to
"prominence" is much higher.

Whatever method is selected works for me;  personally I think list
discussion works fine and we can hash on IRC.  I doubt anyone will ever
want to review our discussion on this topic.
