Re: PIM or CIM

Hi

I see a difference with sharing and scheduling and group collaboration,
Scheduling and e-mail is for me PIM related. Group work is more like a
virtual conference Rome that you enter, and work together with others,
discuss problems or other related matters. Calendar in a CIM is for me the
groups calendar not for an individual person. As an individual you are not
interested in matters that not concern you even if that kind of matter is in
a group between others but on the other hand it is of importance to know
that it happens therefore the group calendar.

Discussion is to minimise the e-mail conversation that are basically between
two people (I know it is easy to send to a lot of people at the same time).
The problem with e-mail as a tool for group conversation is obvious. With a
discussion area it is easy to follow a thread, start a new or reply, in a
specific topic

"CIM". But more or less CIM includes PIM to be able to work, isn't it
that way? To perform useful scheduling, the system needs to know about
*all* appointments otherwise you will get too many "false positives"
;-)
