Every good CRM solution allow you to really extend the database model and the interface with few code as possible. The first example which come to mind is that the way you manage contacts and opportunities are really not the same in a B2B business than in a B2C one.

Protocol compatibility is one thing, data/model compatibility is another. For example if you allow n-n relationship between person and company in Ogo you'll have to define new (and maybe complex) rules to allow Palm or Outlook data synchronization.

I read in a previous post that Chris stated that Ogo shouldn't become bloatware and that the issue was integration, actually I think this is the good way to go. I think that what should be in Ogo (or in any other groupware server) is what can be shared between every group activity application. For example, incoming mail is always a problem for CRM (and other apps), a good interface allowing a centralized management of this could be a killer point.

The purpose of the mail was to have a good idea of what Ogo is headed at in the future, also to see how people plan to use it with others systems.
When a company plans CRM implementation, Outlook sync and Groupware server are always in the study, I was wondering if ogo has strong arguments to kill Exchange here...
