i'm not concerned about storage.

i'm interested in the possibility to have an easy-to-use way to get meaningful 
patches out of different revisions of an OOo document. something similar to 
regular source files patches.

the wysiwyg patch tool of oowriter is not too shabby, but i saw it fail 
miserably in a number of conditions.

well, it only makes sense if svn (or ogo) does the zip-unzip for you. 
otherwise, among other things, you will not be able to use webdav access 
directly from within OOo :-/
