Ahhh.

I guess what I'm looking for is a GPL piece of software that comes with
all the LDAP and Cyrus IMAP administration "all rolled up" for me.  So
Novell's GPL release is nothing of the sort.  Oh well.

I really need to get deeper into all this.

I always try to "break down" mail/collaboration technologies for people,
_before_ addressing the actual products.  I'm big on "understand
technologies, not products."  Only when you understand the stores,
protocols, etc... involved can you understand the products.

Then I break down the products, MS Exchange, Bynari InsightConnector
and/or InsightServer, various stores with MAPI connectors,
OpenGroupware.ORG and SKYRiX SideStore/Look, etc...

With OGo and ZideStore, we now have a solution that has an "open server
store" and "collaboration back-end."  I really didn't find "MS Exchange
alternatives" to be too inviting (although MS Exchange does have its
technical issues, long story), because most of them are still a
proprietary server store served by a MAPI connector.  OGo/SKYRiX's
connector merely converts MAPI into its WebDAV to its open store.

Which is why I'm now a big proponent of OGo over anything else.  But I'd
still like to find an "easy-to-setup/administer" OpenLDAP/CyrusIMAP
complement other than to do it "raw."

P.S.  Are any products moving towards supporting the CAP (Calendar
Access Protocol)?  Or is it still too much of a "draft" standard?  It
seems to be a massive improvement/augmentation over iCalendar and
"free/busy time."  I assume it wouldn't be too difficult for the
ZideStore to add it at some point in the future (modification of its
existing WebDAV approach?).
