Greets: Since VoIP is all the rage now in NA, and Asterisk has gone gold today with the 1.0 release I just wanted to get a discussion going on the following: 1. how important is VoIP integration in your areas/markets of interest. 2. what levels of integration with OGo would be of interest. For those not familiar with Asterisk here are some additional URLS to get you up and running; http://developers.slashdot.org/developers/04/09/23/1635231.shtml?tid=215&tid=156&tid=95 http://www.astricon.net/conf2004/tutorialagenda.shtml other links are already posted here; http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/helge/CTI/asterisk/view Presonally, a good place to start with Asterisk is as a sip server allowing free internet based calls between sip users. This could be as simple as adding a new field to OGo in the contacts apps, ie: SIP No. and possibly taking it one step further via a scipt to call the applicable SIP application (configured in OGo) and dail the call. Much more can be done of course but first things first. Is there an interest and secondly is it warranted. Hence the (2) quesitons above.
