I guess so, but is there actually a difference between soft and hard  
from an OGo perspective?

Might be, but not necessarily. In OGo the phone number (whether this is  
old style or a new one probably wouldn't matter) is attached to the IP  
address of the browser (and therefore to a host), not to an actual  
user. With the idea being that the phone is in the near of the browser,  
if you phone from a different place the call will be routed to the  
phone at that place, not to your office phone.

Please no long texts. I would prefer some small 10-liner Python script  
which opens a socket and dials a number using Asterisk ;-)

No, if Billy calls you, Billy's contact record would be shown. This is  
_very_ useful (especially for support and sales staff), but as  
mentioned not possible with a pure HTML interface.
