SugarCRM seems to attract quite a lot of people and if OGo can or already does provide better functionality it might make sense to extend the project scope. "Groupware" often means just "mail", "calendar" and "tasks" to users. OGo certainly isn't what one would consider a full CRM system, but I don't have the impression that its particulary worse than SugarCRM either. > A more interesting comarison is with open-exchange. Well, SuSE OpenExchange is now officially dropped by Novell, I don't think a comparison with that is very interesting anymore (but feel free to raise points!). But I guess you mean Open-Xchange ;-) Feel free to do a comparison and post results here, we would be interested to learn and discuss what we miss or were we are better. Though IMHO there are more interesting groupware projects available than this "yet another Java servlet". I suppose for most the major drawback of all Java projects is that they require proprietary software by Sun (the Java virtual machine and libraries). Even in case you don't care about the "free" in "free software", this prohibits inclusion in free Linux distributions like Debian, Ubuntu or Gentoo (AFAIK Fedora as well?).
