We create an Enterprise object XYZ and associate Person objects that are employees (or somehow members) of XYZ with the Enterprise object. But to associate a sales person, who works for us, with an enterprise is a very specific type of relationship. To mix them together does get quite confusing and is not KISS from the user perspective, since an Enterprise can have dozens of contacts associated with it. It is possible to create a Sales project for each sales person and associate all the enterprises for which they are responsible to that project. The sales person can easily add that project to their favorite projects list and the Sales Manager can have edit access. This model works very nicely, especially since the project now shows up under that Enterprise as well. But I don't know if people would consider this 'straight forward'. -- OpenGroupware.org Discussion [email protected] http://mail.opengroupware.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
