Yep, assuming your LDAP server permits anonymous access.

We do;  if you already have a DSA I think it is unreasonable not too.
But if all you want to do is support OGo, I wouldn't create one just for
that purpose.

Yep, thats what we do.  You can use back-sql hack to expose data in OGo
via LDAP so you can search for contacts in WAB, Thunderbird, etc...
