I think there was always some desire to add MySQL access to OGo. The 
usual result is that installing PostgreSQL is a viable option given 
that writing a MySQL adaptor would take some week or two.

Actually I think there is a MySQL adaptor for the current gnustep-db2 
framework. Maybe this could be ported to the SOPE variant of 
gnustep-db1.

Personally I prefer having a SQLite adaptor before MySQL. This gives an 
actual practical value (no DB install required).

I think recent MySQL 4 versions provide sufficient SQL support to make 
it usable with OGo.
The first step would be to write a MySQL database create script based 
on the PostgreSQL one (there are certainly some incompatibilities).
