Ok,

Now it all makes sense to me (after learning more about GNUstep). The
point is that gnu-fd-* uses the libFoundation and not GNUstep-base.

Does it make a difference on using gnu-fd-nil and gnu-fd-gnu ?

If it does not, building a gnustep-make with gnu-fd-gnu makes more sense
than building with gnu-fd-gnu from a system installation point of view
(not that I know anyother app that uses gnu-fd-*).

Thanks,
