Right now we are discussing a change for the main website, not the docs
Plone. And we aren't discussing any "face lift" either, we just want to
make it easier to change and submit content on the main website.

Yes, there are also (long known) issues with the docs Plone, but those
can be reviewed later.

Its kinda weird to talk about Chris in the third person, but since you
don't seem to know (he certainly knows):
Chris can get any access he wants, he just needs to bother Frank with
this. Toggling some firewall flags or adding an account is a matter of
minutes.
You give the impression like this is being blocked. It isn't. AFAIK
Chris has root/sudo access to the Plone vserver (and if not, he of
course can get it from Frank).

Hu? How do we _loose_ volunteers here? We just _gained_ one and this is
something I'm happy about. Mario proposed a solution for a problem we
have and I liked it.

Again: what I was primarly talking about with Mario on LinuxTag was the
main website (www.opengroupware.org) which is NOT driven by Plone/Zope
and never was. It is driven by a CMS I wrote a long time ago.

If some volunteer who knows Plone/Zope wants to present a rework of the
main website done with Zope and/or Plone, please do so! I would love to
see that and likely prefer it over a Wiki.
(BTW: plain Zope should be just fine for our needs)

To quote what I wrote before:

If my conclusion is wrong, please step up.
