This I can relate with all to well. Since subversion has become your main tool 
now will check into this a bit as time permits and yes a web publishing 
system build on SOPE and svn would be very interesting if not an outstanding 
addition to OGo in any version.

The only issue with svn is that for non technical users such as traditional 
office staff, ie: sales and marketing types who would want to maintain there 
own pages, svn is not the most user friendly system to use. Here webdav and 
ftp are valid options and they are available in SOPE.

But ....I digress..:)
