In the maintenance/ directory of the source tree are some old packaging
files.  If you create a login on the Novell Build Service
<https://secure-www.novell.com/selfreg/jsp/createOpenSuseAccount.jsp>
I'll give you access to the server:OpenGroupware project.  Basic intro
to the build service is at

straight-forward.  Notes specific to Debian packages is at

NOTE: the packages on the build service, and in the future, are changed
somewhat.  The root of the installation is in /usr and not /usr/local.
Most current distributions very much frown on *packages* installing
files into /usr/local.  And I install the ogo-gnustep gunk
in /opt/OGo/GNUstep and not /usr/local/OGo-GNUstep

Yes, agree 110%.  Discussion of the future of the website is occurring
over on the discuss@ list.  Someone is mocking up a new website,  we'll
see what happens.
