I am glad that we share the same feelings on this
As a cms user, I am desperate to find a community to engage with in
constructive discussion so that I can confidently move all my sites to oscm
- at the moment its very much like taking a leap into the void (which I am
kind of used to)
Btw - A few years ago I created a open source cms feed upon Gregor
Rothfuss request, the original message is still on this list, but it was
removed from Planet Oscom without notification nor discussion. If there is
a problem with my feed I do not mind it being discussed openly, so that I
can rectify the problem.
Oscom as it stands is more of a clan than a community,
I hop[e the current crisis is a healthy sign of 'renovation due' and that
all its current members will become more open and communicative in this
process, and ready to listen to what the ouside world is saying.
Sandro, do you need help with setting up a wiki? Would you like to share
with us
what options are you considering re. tool choice?

Please look it up!!! We are still debugging but the main features should be
working.
I designed the system functionality and workflow, and I was lucky enough to
find a smart
Drupal developer to work with - who has developed ad hoc modules to support
our functionality. There is a lot of work to be done, and a lot of
potential ways of future development.
I hope to set up some external integration with other non Drupal
sites-modules and to this effect I was talking to some Mambo and Joomla
people just before Michi posted this thread on this list
I was just discussing what would be the best way of integrating Mambo and
Drupal, and why isnt there more compatibiity among os cms?

I agree that OSCOM has already been doing these things to a degree. I
am not suggesting a departure from the original vision (which I am all
for). I would just like to see more execution. One thing that I think
would be helpful is to get existing customers involved. Their interests
are aligned in getting the good word of open source software into the
market place. Their stories will help kill the FUD. I also would like
to see more open source projects getting involved. The website is not
clear how people can join and does not seem to invite participation.
Not to talk about myself, but I asked for my feed to be included twice
and got the feeling that there was some selection committee for inviting
new members. Anyway, those are my observations as an outsider.
