Thanks Paul,

I looked at Fedora a while ago and my impression was that it is 
primarily a repository on which to build applications like Digital Asset 
Management system.

If someone knows otherwise, please step forward. ;)

Plone is frequently used as a DMS and as a WCM.  It is not the best pure 
DMS but if you like the other features, you might be able to tolerate 
Plone's shortcomings as a DMS.
