I don't believe anybody being or not being on the board is the issue
here. The issue simply is that nobody - not the current board nor the
people who volunteered last spring - really has time for organizing a
big event.

As I've said earlier, I'm willing to step aside as soon as a plausible
plan for OSCOM's continuation is presented. However, lacking that I
want to remain on the board to oversee how the association is
dismatled.

But these things aside, I think it would be much better to stop the
finger-pointing and make real decisions. The options, as I see them
are:

* Some members (or potential members) of OSCOM commit themselves to
arranging a conference or other activities
* The organization is dismantled

Of course we can also just pretend things are working and keep the
association in its present undead state, but I don't see it as the
right solution.
