The member (both previous and in the new list posted today) get to vote for the board, if I understand the bylaws correctly: http://www.oscom.org/get-involved/organization/bylaws.html I don't think there is a process for saying how people get nominated for the board election. I also don't think membership is required to serve on the board. On the latter...when I said "member" I meant "OSCOM Member" as defined in Article 3 of the bylaws. > From what I understood is that to jump-start, you needed new > members, by-laws. By OSCOM definition, we still have old members > deciding things. The list of old members is here: http://www.oscom.org/get-involved/organization/members.html This is augmented by the new list I sent around today, which adds to the membership. Thus "we still have old members deciding things" is not correct. Yes, we need new bylaws. But bylaw changes can't happen by fiat. You need an active membership (e.g. shows up for annual meetings) and active board. Thus my effort to get enough new blood into the legal entity that can legally fix things. --Paul
