how should I know of your activity if it's probably mostly private 
communication. Why don't you do this in public? Then people would at 
least know
that you are an active member and actually trying to do something, which 
is great of course

would it change anything? I tried a lot to actually organize things, but 
everything just got blocked for various reasons which people might want 
to re-read in the archives. No, it wouldn't change anything, so why 
should I.

so why don't you just elect it? Do it in public and nobody will complain
if it wasn't according to the  bylaws.

As said, I am happy to organize another conference, but I want my time
being paid appropriately and I am confident I can organize a very nice and
very exciting conference for the USD19K. I am also happy if other folks 
are joining on the OC, but it needs to be clear who is doing what and 
it's also important that this OC has absolute freedom. Do you want to join?
