So, can't OSCOM put > some trust in me and give me the USD 19'000 to organize a nice conference? +1 from me if there is a bit more solid proposal (when, where, what theme). I think this whole issue could've been avoided if you had come forward right in the beginning and said "let me do a conference" instead of "we should think of doing a conference". This is the right spirit for getting things done :-) > Do something or just get out of the way. Be a viking ;-) Vikings were good at sailing and burning down things... not necessarily in running industry associations ;-) While I would love to do more *if* I had the time, I'm also ready to step down from the board. But only on the condition that there is a new board that will really accomplish things. If OSCOM continues in its current status, I'd rather stay on they board and help to oversee the dismantling. > Michi /Henri PS. For the new people on the list, the Viking reference has a bit of background... http://bergie.iki.fi/gallery/2005/shnjaka/?startfrom=108 http://bergie.iki.fi/about/profile/Kuollut_neito -- Henri Bergius Motorcycle adventures and Open Source Software http://bergie.iki.fi/ Skype: henribergius Jabber: [email protected]
