that's what I suggested in my email in case my points did not come
across clearly enough:

1) agree on some reasoning first

2)this discussion is going too fast ahead (I would not say it's going
iin the wrong direction though)

2) create some value, create an organisation that works
and then discuss dues

But brainstorming is never futile: it's is useful to get the pulse of
people feelings about paying a membership - the general feedback so
far about a paying model seems to me as 'possibly' but provide plenty
of alternative schemes as to maximise opportunities to join fore
everyone
(with which I can only agree).

It is important to get a perception of what your membership base feels
about future direction
so that the organisation can shape its own vision
