I don't think you guys quite understand.
I explain how it is easier for the user to XYZ, and because it takes
ABC from the administrator, it shouldn't be an issue. Either you take
the extra effort to do ABC, or you claim that you don't have time, and
you shouldn't be doing it anyways. "Who cares about the user, who
gives a @#%*, I'm not working for the user, I'm working so that my
name is on the moderator list"

This is the same with programmers. You explain how XYZ might be easier
for the user, but it requires ABC from the programmer, but why do it?
"Screw the user, who gives a @^#^, I don't time to this. I'm not
working for the user, I'm working for the paycheck"

Being overworked is not an issue here. It's about caring about the
user. Quite frankly, dealing with reply-to's is not a big problem. I
run about 12 or so lists myself and its not that difficult, even with
moderation turned on. I know many more who deal with hundreds more. If
this software sucks so that you can't do it easily , go to YahooGroups
or GoogleGroups or something similar where it is actually usable to a
point that admins can do all of these things without being
"overworked."

One shouldn't volunteer for something they don't have time for. Either
you do it or you don't. Doing it half way doesn't help anyone in the
long run.
