mailing list size matters?

Is there an unintentional size limit of the number of addresses in the 
mailing list?  When I have two, everything works fine.  When I fill my 
tables with subscribers, I get this error:

ERROR: Database error: MySQL Error (1062). Please contact the webmaster and 
report the exact error message.
Session halted.

I cleaned the date time and gave them all a very recent one, didn't 
help.  I even cleaned up the frequency table and gave them all MONDAY, 7 
values.  Didn't help.  Any ideas?
