[Tiki-devel] FOSDEM 2023 Collaboration Devroom Call for participation

Hi folks,

Fosdem is back as a real-life physical event! They are open to considering
"hybrid" devrooms if there is demand. ( see https://fosdem.org and
https://fosdem.org/2023/news/2022-09-29-call_for_devrooms/ ).
Our friends from like-minded open source projects reached out to us for a
joint devroom. I can volunteer for liaison between the Tiki community and
the other projects. I've done it before, they are cool people :-) If nobody
objects, I'll tell them we support the devroom as we did in previous years.

Who wants to make a talk about Tiki or suggest an interesting topic?
Right now, we are still at the call for devrooms stage but there is little
point if we don't submit talks. The twenty-third FOSDEM edition will take
place *Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th February 2023* in *Brussels, Belgium*. I
assume the Call for topics will happen from 5 november to end of November.
Start thinking about it :-)

Talks are recorded and put online seemingly forever. So that's great
exposure :-)

On an unrelated note : We have successfully submitted proposals for stands
in the past ( https://fosdem.org/2023/news/2022-09-26-stands-cfp/ ). From
past experience, for a successfully manning a stand we would need 6 people
or more from the Tiki community. Also, we used to participate in a joint
Tiki/Xwiki/DokuWiki stand but Xwiki will probably focus on a different
stand (Cryptpad). This is why we did not have a stand last physical FOSDEM
(2020). If someone wants this stand to happen, please volunteer!

I hope that you are both doing well today,
We got the Call for Participation for FOSDEM developer rooms for 2023 last
week. Next year, FOSDEM should be more "hybrid", with conferences taking
place physically, and maybe remotely. I'm contacting you to know if you
would be interested in participating again in the organization of the
collab devroom this year ?

Also, if you know other organization that could be interested in being
involved in the devroom, don't hesitate to add them to the conversation !
I'm currently checking with OpenProject if they could be interested to help
us on that part.
