[Tiki-devel] Woohoo! got my first H5P content running on a Tiki website!

Hello folks,

currently my big project is to move all my Tiki 12 to Tiki 15 projects
to Tiki 17 and Tiki 18 integrating off-canvas sidebars, WP alike
application menu et cetera. All the new features appearing thanks to
people like Marc, Jonny amongst many more people, plus the noticeable
consoldation of our code is ... just great.

Yesterday evening I started to go through the H5P documentation on
doc.tiki.org and on h5p.org more thoroughly with the goal to get this
little beast running and I have to say: once understood which steps to
do and how to fetch the .h5p file, it is quite easy. I mean easy with a
long eeeee! And the results are awesome.

I implemented the H5P timeline and have to finalise it with some more
text and photos, so no public presentation at this very moment, but I
see some potential to enhance the docs with some little HowTo during the
next days. The awesome thing is, that since Tiki 17 we simply have to
fetch an H5P element from their website and upload it to a Tiki file
gallery. There it can be edited and aswell new elements of the same type
can be created, once the first of this type is imorted.

So I imported the 'History of Strawberries' timeline and then I could
(again: _*easily!*_) create a new timeline with the history of our
association, which I hopefully can publish quite soon (as said I need
some better texts and a number of photos). In my understanding the other
content types will be possible to integrate in the same easy way.

Next try was to integrate a Twitter Feed (of an arbitrary user, tried
several inclung myself and tikiwiki).
The implementation of Twitter feeds is as easy as writing this email,
BUT the feature seems to be broken - even on h5p.org - sad!

To not leave you without any result, I then made up a simple Pie Chart
for you in about 2 minutes:

I do not know, wether or not one day we will get .h5p files that fetch
data from Tiki Trackers and display in various ways.

*But why not?*

We had a simile timeline with Tracker data for long time. Some of our
Devs work already with d3.js (what is used by the pie chart element) and
the Twitter feeds seem to have worked someday aswell and that IS
fetching data from an external source.

So it IS possible. Just a matter of who does it when and will somebody
(one or several) be able to fund the developent of such a functionality.
