Hello,
I've stumbled upon
https://tiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=ExternalTextareaEditor page and
wonder what to do with it, iow. it's a bit old and wanted to update it
with the new informations?
I've just installed https://github.com/stsquad/emacs_chrome extension
for Firefox browser
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/edit-with-emacs1/) along
with the edit-server package from the Emacs which provide nice solution
for editing textareas within Tiki by using Emacs editor.
For non-Emacs users I've found the following
https://github.com/GhostText/GhostText which does have support for the
most popular editors (ST, Atom, VS, Vim, Emacs,..), but haven't tried it
(yet).
This might be good-enough solution for those wanting to have
full-fledger editor for writing Tiki content and/or while waiting for
proper keyboard support in Tiki ("It's all Text" extension does not work
any longer for newer versions of Firefox).
For me, the next step would be to work on writing major mode for Emacs
providing support for WikiSyntax...
Sincerely,
Gour
