That's what I've found out.

But it isn't that important. I can live with specifying ids instead of
file names. 

It's just that I was confused by the Wiki-Syntax-Images page. I'll
rework that page, to make it clear.

I don't fully get what you're suggesting. But, as I said, I can live
with the way that the img plugin is.

I'll just correct that Wiki-Syntax-Images page.
