I hope that in the future we'll have ability to use e.g. Markdown
syntax and e.g. Markdown-extra syntax for referencing images.

There is another feature which will help us in regard:

https://dev.tiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=File%20Gallery%20direct%20file%20mapping%20mode

to map media from File Galleries in order to be able to use "file
structure" to reference it instead of IDs.
