Hi list, hi Andreas,

first of all: nice work!

About the "soft" (lenya1.pdf second example) have a look at http://www.lenya.de/. It is a site of the producer for diapers ;-). That soft logo kind of remind me on that.

I like the first one but instead of the flower (or leave) I recommend the Apache feather.

king regards
Thorsten

Hmm, in my eyes, the Wyona CI font would not be appropriate for the name
"Lenya". To me, it sounds

- soft
- non-technical
- melodious
- even feminine

I think we should use a logo that even intensifies these associations.
The word "Lenya" gives a good basis for sympathies. That's why I
introduced the floral element and the colors.

And I don't think we have to build a bridge to Wyona - maybe we should
even show that it does not belong to Wyona but is an independent
open-source product. It just has to look nice on the same page.

Usually, I don't like inverted logo designs at all (well, RSA is an
exception). If we are forced to use the Forrest layout, we maybe have
to use an inverted design because the logos are placed on a quite
dark background.

It's Akzidenz Grotesk (Felix told me). But I don't like it very much.
At least, not in conjunction with the words "Lenya" or "Wyona" ...
But that's a matter of personal taste.

The first logo (the one with the two white lines through the "y"
is based on a very well-crafted and harmonic font. The intention
behind it was to appeal and impress publishing/news companies. Besides
the two on lenya2.pdf (they're somewhat eye-catching) this is my
personal favorite.

BTW: Thanks for your replies! It's good to see that you're interested
and a discussion about this topic has established :)
