Yes, I feel the same. But it will always depend on personal taste
if someone feels good when looking at a logo. What I want to avoid
is to copy anything of our "competitors" - it seems to be very
common to use extreme clear, lightweigt typo (plone, Xaraya).
I have to say that I'm very the Xaraya logo, but for "Lenya" the
typo maybe would not fit that good. I tried a lot of things and
sorted out the ones I liked best. OK, I don't like the extreme
playful ones in the bottom of the first page very much - but they
are mouse-drawn and therefore I had to add them too :)

I think nothing requires to keep the old look and nothing requires
to change it. The only argument I have is to show Lenya's independence
from wyona.com.

Well ... when I saw the Wyona logo the first time, I was a little
astonished - why did they typeset such a nice sounding word in such
a heavy and technical font? But it gained my attention and caused
me to think about it. Maybe that's an important point, too ...

Yes, a clean logo with few colors can often be inverted (even if I
wouldn't suggest this unless really needed).

This is one of my favorite aspects of this logo. It can be read as
a small "l", and a captial "L" as well. I guess most people would
complain that you can't get the right spelling from the logo, but
I like that.
BTW, it's a captial "L". The small one looks very similar but the
relation between letter and meat (?) doesn't match the other letters
as good.

Hmmm, are we talking about the same one? Is it really possible to
see a "1" or an "I"? I meant the blue one with either the red bow
above it or the red flower.
