The source snapshot 20020710123732 is pretty old, so I would suggest
to use the CVS version. Are you aware of the nightly snapshots?

We would very much appreciate your modifications. Just send them to the
mailing list (I hope we are able to setup the scratchpad CVS in the next 
couple of days, such that we can better share stuff and integrate
