I agree.

I would prefer to use HTML based forms for entering simple XML files, 
rather than a full blown wysiwyg XML editor.

For example - I want to be able to enter book reviews into an XML format.....
Author, title, isbn, etc, and then some simple text

Having to install the latest MS XML tools onto the users machines was a bit 
of overkill...
