Please have a look at
wyona-cms/wyona/cms/pubs/forum/docs/publication/authoring/articles/
each article resides inside it's own folder

the seven articles that come with the distribution also reside in
subfolders of the folder mentioned above, named 2000 trough 2006.

Did you look at live-sitemap.xmap and authoring-sitemap-xmap in the
forums directory?
Apart from that, a generator output used in a cocoon-pipeline doen't
have to be a physical file. Look at the following snippet from a
pipeline.
