prtscrn by it's self captures the whole screen
alt-prtscrn captures the active window

You won't see that anything happened till you go to a program that 
allows you to paste a bitmap.

We used to do this to my boss and then save the desktop with his normal 
programs open as his walpaper, and then turn off the icons and close all 
the programs.
