Straight to the point: I like that :-)

marc has put together a draft checklist, which we are going through now to
see what needs to be done. On the whole, the work involved for 1.0 is fixing
current bugs and merging in some older work that has been hanging around for
a while. The intention is not to add new functionality at this stage, but to
refine what we have now. To that end, there ought not to be any big jumps in
1.0 compared to the functionality of what you see now. Feature creep is not
something we want to encourage.

Having said that, the sooner 1.0 is out, the sooner we can release the
reigns again, and start being creative on the next generation Xaraya. There
are alrready a lot of new ideas and prototypes around that can take us to
the next level, while rataining full support for 1.0.
