Proposal: New Xaraya Project Logo and Branding

Significant effort, mainly behind the scenes, has been put into refreshing 
Xaraya's image, which hasn't changed much since 2005. As a web based open 
source project, the two main parts of our image are our logo and the design 
of our website.

A new logo has been created, which can be seen at 
http://www.xaraya.com/~dracos/new_logo.html, along with the rationale that 
went into it. The version to be used is the one with the blue-blue manta 
gradient and the green-green box gradient.

To match the logo, a new theme for xaraya.com has been made called Xaraya 
Tropics, which aims to extend the rationale that went into the logo. 
Registered xaraya.com members can go to 
http://www.xaraya.com/index.php/roles/account/themes and select Xaraya 
Tropics as their default theme from the dropdown list. Several people have 
been using Xaraya Tropics for some time.

The PMC is asking the community to choose whether to adopt this new image 
for Xaraya, and also to retire and remove the current xe1 theme until and 
unless volunteers step forward to maintain it.

The PMC will be accepting comments on this proposal for 14 days from the 
date of this post, at which time we will assess the consensus and act 
accordingly. If this proposal is accepted, further efforts will be taken to 
strengthen and solidify the new Xaraya project image.
