Posting here as other people have, so we get some continuity going but
my post is in the forums (hopefully this forum/newsgroup thing will nog
continue for too long - very time consuming, potential to miss info
reading in one place).

prudent for PMC, and module developers, to wait until the new
development (or whatever it is called) policy is published. That way
they might now what the  policy is, so we can see what we have to do as
maintainers, and how that process will work, and if one can actually
meet the requirements?

The current perceived method (changed since the one of a few years back)
for example is a lot more cumbersome than it used, and this may change
again making it impractical for some people to maintain modules."

So perhaps ask for maintainers after you present your new policy?
