Some things which come to mind:

I understood that a newer version of monotone was installed than we
have running on davinci. (.44 vs .40). Has anything in the changelog
been found related to hooks/notices? Do the hooks run at all?

=46rom memory, the notices on davinci use a program called 'newspost',
which takes a text and posts it in an NNTP group. I assume that
program is installed and works if you run it manually?=20

If that doesnt work, if someone gets me a sudo account on the new
server I can have a look later today.=20

While we are at this, is there anything else that needs done *on*
davinci? I can't guarantee it will be reachable next week.
