[21:02] <random> *------- MEETING BEGINS -------*
[21:02] <mikespub> w0rd
[21:02] <random> thanks for coming
[21:02] <random> The agenda I have is:
[21:03] <random> 1. PMC election: status EOG - alternate proposals
for election - potential candidates - decision timeframe
[21:03] <random> 2. Xaraya.com rework
[21:03] <random> 2. 2.0.0 release: timing - required actions
[21:03] <random> 3. Infrastructure: hosting status
[21:03] <random> still struggling with chatzilla
[21:03] <random> sorry for the numbering
[21:03] <random> other topics are welcome
[21:04] <mikespub> no comments on 1.
[21:04] <random> first off something small
[21:04] <random> a couple of folks posted that this is not a good
time for them
[21:04] <St_Ego> +1 to Tim's suggestion for #1 that the current PMC
run a 2 year term, for several different reasons (pick your favorite)
[21:04] <random> asI recall these meetings used to be a bit later
[21:05] <Dracos> we made them earlier to accomodate people
[21:05] <St_Ego> always been 2pm sunday for me. GMT -5/6
[21:05] <random> anyone inconvenienced if I pushed the time back 1 or
2 hours?
[21:05] <St_Ego> inconvenienced if done today, next week that's fine
[21:05] <random> not today of course
[21:05] <random> didn't want to change that
[21:05] <St_Ego> no objections then
[21:06] <Robert> Not me, though maybe we should have two meetings (In
the future when more people are invovled) Though no objection to pushing
the meeting back 1-2 hours
[21:06] <random> we know for a fact this is not a good time for jp
[21:06] <St_Ego> yeah, meeting number depends on involvement
[21:06] <random> I will canvas these folks and see what they say
[21:06] <random> just wanted to get your thoughts first
[21:07] <random> xause you guys showed up!
[21:07] <random> OK
[21:07] <mikespub> +1 to Tim's suggestion too
[21:07] <St_Ego> the later in the day, the more inconvenient it will
be, overall, but just 1-2 hours is fine to push
[21:07] <random> aha
[21:07] <Robert> I would like to propose that the PMC post in the
forum (maybe news groups to for this) asking for what time is best for
those who want to be invovled
[21:08] <random> possible. thing is it's always been Sunday,so I sort
of thought it would be good to base on that
[21:08] <random> cause when we do posts like that it's difficult to
get a consensus
[21:09] <random> that said, not a problem to post and ask
[21:09] * mikespub wonders who PMC is these days (but doesn't really
care that much, to be honest)
[21:09] <random> OK,moving (if you agree) to topic1
[21:10] <random> heh, can't agree with mike there
[21:10] <random> topic one has to do with the PMC
[21:10] <Robert> +1 for moving the time to accomidate more people, I
just need a little notice to make sure I make time)
[21:10] <St_Ego> Topic posted
[21:10] <St_Ego> http://www.xaraya.com/index.php/xarbb/topic/3659
[21:10] <Robert> Thank you Chad
[21:11] <St_Ego> We will also look at posting a meeting reminder the
day of the meeting each week, several hours beforehand, so that ppl
don't forget.
[21:11] <random> +1
[21:11] <St_Ego> ok, that's mostly for myself, but ya'll should enjoy
it too, i iimagine. ;-)
[21:11] <St_Ego> anyone have a suggestion for automating that?
[21:12] <random> small thing to do manually actually I think
[21:12] <Robert> Use a calander/events module
[21:12] <random> for instance
[21:12] <random> anyhoo, I'd like to ask those PMC here what we're
going to do about the PMC status, election and so on
[21:12] <St_Ego> "Let it ride"
[21:12] <random> it seems to me this issue is a bit in limbo
[21:12] <random> and on top of that
[21:12] <St_Ego> I see no benefit from dragging it out of limbo at
this time.
[21:13] <random> if you'll excuse the french
[21:13] <random> the PMC looks a lil awol right now
[21:13] <St_Ego> If someone wants to hero up about leadership, we can
drag it out of limbo
[21:13] <Robert> I have some thoughts about the PMC if I may, it
relates to the First Agenda item though is bigger in scop I guess :/
[21:13] <Dracos> part of the pmc has been awol for a year
[21:13] <random> robert sure
[21:14] <St_Ego> PMC has been tied up in dealing with how to handle
the DDF, hosting and personality conflicts.
[21:14] <St_Ego> Read into that what you will.
[21:14] <St_Ego> Here now and represented, for the most part.
[21:14] <random> chad: not a reason to stop holding meetings and
doing business
[21:14] <random> worries me a bit :)
[21:15] <St_Ego> lol
[21:15] <random> but robert has the floor?
[21:15] <St_Ego> yer not alone
[21:15] <Robert> I would like to abolish the odd number rule for the
PMC, it would be helpful if there was a fourth person to step up when
others take a leave. It would still provide enough people to \ldblquote
vote\rdblquote on issues. When all four are available the one member
would recues themselves from the votes.
[21:15] <St_Ego> Do we have a fourth person that wants it?
[21:15] * mikespub hides behind random
[21:15] <random> hmm...that's bigger scope? :)
[21:15] <Dracos> then why not go to 5 and avoid the recusal hack?
[21:15] <St_Ego> I would understand more if one of us was asked to
step down in order to make it an even number, tbh.
[21:16] <Robert> Well yes because some thing having an even number is
"bad" Though my second part of the proposal fixes that
[21:16] <Robert> I know we have a fourth willing to step up not so
sure about a fith ;)
[21:16] <Dracos> no, it just shifts the issue onto who votes
[21:17] <St_Ego> frankly, the size of the PMC is arbitrary, arguable
from both sides with equal validity. if someone wants on or someone
wants somebody off, that's different.
[21:17] <Robert> Wny make it an issue, just pull straws if you where
before the meeting and one sits out of votes simple
[21:17] <mikespub> +1 on adding a 4th, if he's somewhat active
[21:17] <random> is what I am hearing that the PMC has problems
because of voting ties?
[21:18] <random> is that the problem?
[21:18] <Robert> No but While one person was missing allot of stuff
"could'nt" be dealt with
[21:18] <St_Ego> not something i've been made aware of. only aspect
of this i've caught is a need to have a full vote, not a majority.
[21:19] <St_Ego> "couldn't be dealt with" falling more under the
"personality conflict" part of things, i imagine. it's something we're
dealing with.
[21:19] <random> so you guys are deadlocked because not everyone is
around?
[21:19] <St_Ego> that could have been the case, but nothing to be
deadlocked on, afaik
[21:20] <mikespub> so why not fix it so that majority is enough ? It's
not as if many issues are being actively dealt with anyway
[21:20] <Dracos> well, you haven't been around to know, have you?
[21:20] <St_Ego> like i said, number of votes is just about arbitrary
[21:20] <St_Ego> here comes the "personality conflict" part
[21:20] <Dracos>
http://www.itworld.com/open-source/101641/open-source-not-democracy
[21:20] <St_Ego> based on what i've been made aware of, there have
been zero votes prevented due to lack of participation
[21:21] <St_Ego> aside, perhaps, from emotionally passionate requests
to vote Jo out of participating in any way
[21:21] <Dracos> there have been 0 votes withing the pmc, period
[21:21] <St_Ego> not something i would have diginified with a vote anyway
[21:21] <random> OK, well look, how do we move on from here?
[21:21] <Robert> Here is the deal, part of the reason the active PMC
didn\rquote t want to take actions is because not everyone was around.
Why not have a fourth to pick up the slack in an official manner. That
way any one member can take a break when they need it for whatever reason.
[21:21] <random> I'm concerned because of what I perceive as a lack
of movement
[21:22] <St_Ego> we let the "personality conflicts" continue to be
dealt with internal to the pmc and we push on to the next agenda item
[21:22] <Dracos> this is absurd
[21:22] <Dracos> I resign
[21:22] <--| Dracos has left #pmc
[21:22] <mikespub> well, at least something moved now
[21:22] <random> true dat
[21:23] <St_Ego> and that is one of the reasons my participation (as
well as Chris's) has been sporadic
[21:23] <St_Ego> we are not babysitters
[21:23] <mikespub> what exactly does the pmc have to vote on ?
[21:23] <Tim1980> That said, its a heated issue I would not take that
resignation seriusly.
[21:24] <St_Ego> granted
[21:24] <St_Ego> but
[21:24] <St_Ego> it's a recurring issue
[21:24] <St_Ego> it generally happens when he is involved in open
discussion
[21:25] <St_Ego> first he polarizes, then he leaves in a huff.
[21:25] <mikespub> what exactly does the pmc have to vote on ? E.g.
over the past 6 months
[21:25] <Robert> Site stuff got put on hold many times because not
everyone was around same for some stuff about the DDF. Though either way
it wasn't a huge issue, but it slowed things down.
[21:25] <random> chad, in honesty your presence has been minimal
throughout the past year. will that change with this
[21:25] <Robert> Anyone have Chris's cell, would like to see if he
can attend
[21:25] <St_Ego> "this" being the "resignation"?
[21:25] <random> correct
[21:25] <St_Ego> good call, Robert. was gonna ask that earlier
[21:26] <St_Ego> well, yeah, if he's not actively involved with being
disruptive, my participation is virtually guaranteed.
[21:26] <St_Ego> i just spent most of last year letting chris deal
with him
[21:26] <random> no flames please
[21:26] <random> but I'll take that at face value :)
[21:27] <random> that' you ll be here more
[21:27] <Robert> Chad, not to bring anything "bad" up but part of the
reason you didn't want to be invovled the first 6 months was because
your modules where not used as development tools. (Not meaning as a
flame just what I saw personally)
[21:27] <St_Ego> trust me, i have no desire to deliberately upset
anyway. i just don't wish to deal with irrational behavior either.
[21:27] <mikespub> +1 on making Chris dictator of xaraya
[21:27] <St_Ego> +1
[21:27] <mikespub> at least something would move ;-)
[21:27] <random> that's a bold stroke
[21:28] <St_Ego> Robert: my issue wasn't where the focus wasn't. my
issue was where the focus DID go. nothing but DDF and hosting for a year.
[21:28] <St_Ego> neither are things i have a lot to contribute to
[21:28] <mikespub> random: well, he doesn't seem to be on either side
of the personality issues, and he seems like a nice guy
[21:28] <random> heh
[21:28] <random> OK, so you're in chad
[21:28] <St_Ego> not sure how true that statement remains based on
recent events.
[21:28] <random> what's upwith chris?
[21:29] <St_Ego> ref: chris being outside of personality issues.
[21:29] <random> he has been unreachable
[21:29] <St_Ego> chris is just awol. only issue there.
[21:29] <random> over the past weeks
[21:29] <random> I understand RL intervenes
[21:29] <St_Ego> he was around parts of the last week
[21:29] <random> but I think the project needs to be informed
[21:30] <random> from time to time :)
[21:30] <random> otherwise we get situations where usurpers run meetings
[21:30] <mikespub> well, I'm not one to talk about leave of absence,
but perhaps we could have a "relay baton" for dictatorship within pmc ?
[21:30] <Tim1980> BTW; if there is a fourth voted in I would nominate
Robert
[21:30] <St_Ego> +1, if he wants it.
[21:30] <random> is robert interested?
[21:31] <St_Ego> Robert, get out from under your desk. We are not
going to force you to join. ;-)
[21:31] <Robert> Concidering I offered to take Chads seat if he
resigned Yes I would be interested. and yes I can work with others :-P
[21:31] <mikespub> +1 to robert too then
[21:32] <random> +1
[21:32] <Robert> BTW: It was nothing personal Chad, you had just been
gone completely for close to six months at the time and it was
disscused, but you came back around :P
[21:32] <St_Ego> No worries, and no hard feelings. Perfectly
understandable
[21:32] <Robert> <--- Odd sense of humor sometimes :D
[21:32] <mikespub> moving on - how does this need to be formalized ?
[21:33] * St_Ego screams for Chris...
[21:33] <Robert> At this point in time since Hb is Awal I would say
we would need to go withMarc's proposal
[21:33] <random> no election
[21:33] <random> we just decide and get to work imho
[21:33] <St_Ego> +1
[21:34] <St_Ego> we can let chris grandfather in his vote
[21:34] <Robert> That works for me, I would like to invovle the
community more in the future when they are more active but right now it
isn't realistic
[21:34] <mikespub> fine by me
[21:34] <Robert> Anyone have Chris's phone number or pager or anything?
[21:35] <mikespub> nope, sorry
[21:35] <random> OK, so we have a new PMC member. Can we move on?
[21:35] <St_Ego> continue
[21:35] <Robert> Okay: Note to self need more contact info for all
PMC memebers
[21:36] <Robert> +1 to moving on
[21:36] <random>    2. --> xaraya.com
[21:36] <random> there was some discussion about updating the site
some time ago
[21:37] <random> a thread was started and comments solicited
[21:37] <mikespub> +1 on refresh / reorganize if someone's up for it
[21:37] <random> so how is this going to move forward?
[21:37] <random> the thread sort of stalled
[21:37] <Robert> I know a staging site was set up
[21:38] <Robert> As for movement I don't know we would need Chris or
Marty in here to update us on its status
[21:38] <St_Ego> Chris was moving that one along.
[21:38] <random> I think the question was asked on the thread
[21:38] <random> whether someone wouldt ake the lead
[21:38] <St_Ego> Chris has.
[21:38] <random> aha
[21:38] <Robert> My help on the staging site just waits on a password
to access it
[21:38] <mikespub> aha
[21:39] <mikespub> ;-)
[21:39] * St_Ego has no info for the staging site yet.
[21:39] <Robert> Me and Chris kind of toke the lead he was doing the
heavy lifting and I was doing other changes
[21:39] <random> Chris andI
[21:39] <Robert> Thanks Marc
[21:39] <random> :)
[21:39] <St_Ego> You "toke" the lead, huh?
[21:39] <random> comic releif
[21:39] <Robert> I don't always think when trying ;)
[21:39] <Robert> Yeah me and IRC don't get along what can I say Chad :-P
[21:40] <Robert> lol
[21:40] <random> OK,so it's sort of in his hands then?
[21:40] <Robert> YEs
[21:40] <St_Ego> yes
[21:40] <St_Ego> Rob and I will push/help him along when he wakes up.
[21:40] <random> then I would motion to let him inform us when he's back
[21:40] <St_Ego> +1
[21:40] -->|    Autocrat (~kvirc-L6iPNsKBTfMKuuT/aCrtXJ4Jwg06diozoRfEagvJxFdWk0Htik3J/[email protected])
has joined #pmc
[21:40] <Robert> +1
[21:40] <St_Ego> got a link to the forum for the site rework?
[21:40] <mikespub> +1
[21:41] <random> hello autocrat
[21:41] <Robert> Chad not yet, we wanted to get permisions reset
before we made it public. Least I think that was the plan
[21:41] <Autocrat> *waves*
[21:42] <random> moving on
[21:42] <random>    3 --> 2.0.0 release: timing - required actions
[21:42] <random> there was this idea of marketing actions when 2.0.0
isreleased
[21:42] <random> there is also a thread about this on the forums
[21:42] <random> the thread is sort of empty
[21:42] <Robert> I think 2.0.0 release is pending
documentation/manaul and the site reorg so we can accomidate 2x conetent.
[21:42] <random> well not sort of
[21:43] <St_Ego> lol
[21:43] <random> that is possible
[21:43] <St_Ego> agreed
[21:43] <random> I just want to point out that
[21:43] <random> like your latest laptop
[21:43] <random> 2.0.0 grows less relevant with time
[21:43] <mikespub> random - a side note: what's with 2.0.0-rc2 and
2.1.0-b1 ?
[21:44] <random> if there can be something done in useful time
[21:44] <random> then by all means lets plan it
[21:44] <random> but if such actions are 6 mos in the future
[21:44] <random> thaen perhaps you are best advised to just release
2.0.0 and be done with it
[21:44] <St_Ego> documentation/manual won't be roadblocks, but the
site reorg will
[21:45] <St_Ego> not to a release, but to marketing efforts
[21:45] <random> mikespub: life and jamaica just move on
[21:45] <Robert> I think the main part of the site reorg can be done
in a timely manner assuming Chris gets back soon. The Manaul might need
to be a coming soon when release hits. Maybe (I don't know whats done on
the manaul/docs for 2x.)
[21:45] <random> no needto hold next wave up because first wave is
not yet officially released
[21:46] <mikespub> oh - I thought 2.x.0-x1 would become the "official"
2.x release at some point
[21:47] <random> 2.1.0 will go through the usual betas
[21:47] <random> and then rc
[21:47] <mikespub> is there a reason to keep 2.0.0-... if 2.1.0-... is
already there ?
[21:48] <mikespub> as long as we haven't promoted 2.x I mean ;-)
[21:48] <random> 2.0.0 is a rc right now, so "stable"
[21:48] <random> 2.1.0 less so
[21:48] <random> but yes that was my piont
[21:48] <Robert> Main reason was to get an offial release stategy
going before 2.0.0 went gold. IE, What needs to be done before each gold
release.
[21:48] <random> at some point that will be the question i
[21:49] <mikespub> so who wants to package 2.x into a nice gold release ?
[21:49] <mikespub> that seems to be the question
[21:49] * random looks arounf
[21:49] <St_Ego> lol
[21:50] <Robert> Chad you seem to be heading the manual efforts, any
timeline on that? Weeks, Months?
[21:51] <random> one minor point: you are thinking of a site rework
in 1.x as a prerequisite for releasing 2.0.0
[21:51] <Robert> Also what do you need to help expedite the efforts?
(if your not the one heading the charge sorry for assuming :-P)
[21:52] <random> just to point that out :)
[21:52] <mikespub> random: that's not necessary is it ?
[21:52] <random> not saying site should be 2.0.0
[21:52] <Robert> Well some of the things like privs, and categories
need to be done, just so we can accomidate 2x content without it being
odd or confusing.
[21:53] <St_Ego> manual efforts are pending feedback on the TOC
[21:53] <random> but then questioning whether the ework is necessary
for the release
[21:53] <Robert> That said the site doesn't have to be a hold up on
2x release
[21:53] <St_Ego> http://groups.google.com/group/xaraya/web/xaraya-manua
[21:53] <St_Ego> on release, no. on marketing the release, yes. it
doesnt' have to be marketed, tho.
[21:53] <random> robert +1
[21:53] <Robert> But I do think for marketing effectiveness at
release it would be best to have a site suited for 2x content :P
[21:53] <Robert> Chad and I must think alike :-P
[21:53] <St_Ego> we can do 2x marketing after the retooling is done
[21:54] <Robert> Very True
[21:54] <random> k, I think mike's question is important here
[21:54] <St_Ego> who to package it up?
[21:54] <Robert> Though if we are only 2 weeks off (won't know until
chris is around) Then is that a workable timeframe.
[21:54] <random> who to take the lead
[21:55] <mikespub> to be honest, I thought you were marc ;-)
[21:55] <St_Ego> +1
[21:55] <St_Ego> :-D
[21:55] <random> I'm not the marketing guy
[21:55] <St_Ego> is just posting it to sourceforge and publishing a
release article, no?
[21:55] <random> I can package it up in an hour
[21:55] <random> I'm happy to provide you with release docs or w/e
[21:55] <St_Ego> just need a release article then?
[21:55] <St_Ego> yeah, shoot it over
[21:56] <St_Ego> i'll knock that out with Bob
[21:56] <random> bob?
[21:56] <St_Ego> we'll "bond"
[21:56] <St_Ego> Robert
[21:56] <mikespub> lol
[21:56] <Robert> lol Yes Robert please, Bob is my father :-P
[21:56] <Robert> Or toy, either not me :D
[21:56] <random> k, what does the release doc need to contain? can
you give me requirements?
[21:56] <St_Ego> Umberto
[21:57] <random> or just a compendium of the docs already on SF?
[21:57] <St_Ego> release doc will need links
[21:57] <St_Ego> links to docs, to download, etc
[21:57] <St_Ego> yeah, what you said
[21:57] =-= mikespub is now known as mikespub_brb
[21:57] <random> ok, you'll have something this week
[21:57] <St_Ego> eggsellent
[21:57] <random> then you can critique
[21:58] <St_Ego> oh, you want that, do you? O.o
[21:58] * St_Ego gets an evil glint in his eyes
[21:58] <St_Ego> I learned QA at BDSM school
[21:58] <St_Ego> mwuahahahaahahaaa!
[21:58] <St_Ego> moving on.
[21:58] <random> no worries
[21:58] <random> yea
[21:58] <St_Ego> bringing us toooo.... hosting status
[21:59] <random>    4.--> Infrastructure: hosting status
[21:59] <random> a small aside
[21:59] <random> I finally got around to updating the demo site
[21:59] <random> demo.xaraya.com
[22:00] <random> and along the way I loaded up every module I could find
[22:00] <random> some of these are now failing
[22:00] <random> cats, articles,
[22:00] <random> due to unreworked blocks
[22:00] =-= mikespub_brb is now known as mikespub
[22:00] <random> I can help here if it is asked
[22:00] <St_Ego> running 2x or 1x?
[22:00] <random> or perhaps chris can
[22:01] <random> running 2.1.0
[22:01] <St_Ego> kk
[22:01] <mikespub> is there a reason why we can't have legacy.php for
blocks ?
[22:01] <St_Ego> O.o
[22:01] <mikespub> (thinking of the 100s of other modules here)
[22:02] <Robert> On Number 4 I did sent an email tot he PMC on the
11th of this month about another possible host to host Xaraya, not sure
if Chris or Marty got to look into it though.
[22:02] <Robert> Is there 100's of modules for Jamaica?
[22:03] <mikespub> Robert: no, the 1.x ones ;-)
[22:03] <random> there was legacy code in there
[22:03] <random> chris pulled it out :)
[22:03] <mikespub> duh
[22:03] * random likes blaming chris :)
[22:03] * mikespub mostly blames himself
[22:03] <mikespub> ;-)
[22:04] <random> in honesty most can be quickly done
[22:04] <mikespub> so ... is the hosting situation still urgent ?
[22:04] <mikespub> or urgent again ?
[22:04] <random> not sure what the thinking was here
[22:04] <St_Ego> still trying to dig up references to where hosting is at
[22:04] <random> think some stuff is still on marcel's machines?
[22:06] <Robert> Hosting isn't urgent unless Marc was MT off his
systems, but we do need to get it worked on for long term stability and
it was on the agenda so I rought it up ;)
[22:06] <Robert> wants*
[22:08] <random> MT?
[22:08] <Robert> Not sure exactly whats still on Marcels boxes, maybe
some IRC stuff? Will be honest out of the loop on that.
[22:08] <Robert> Don't you now host monotone?
[22:08] <Robert> when I say monotone I mean the projects monotone
[22:08] <random> umm
[22:08] <random> checking
[22:09] <mikespub> lol - I thought mt was at marc's too
[22:09] <random> it appears it is
[22:09] <Robert> Pretty sure you host the monotone servers now Marc
:-P as an interium while we work on getting a better server.
[22:09] -->|    ftb (~ftb-+t6XWRxfxZ47d4J7kWNmjYP/[email protected]) has joined #pmc
[22:09] <random> guesswe parked it there
[22:10] <random> yea
[22:10] <random> welcome ftb
[22:10] <ftb> hi marc!
[22:10] <random> another fastwebbie :)
[22:10] <ftb> ;)
[22:10] <Tim1980> Really a full house tonight :) Great to see
[22:10] <random> so OK, MT can stay where it is for the duration
[22:11] <mikespub> thx
[22:11] <random> and the demo site and such
[22:11] <random> we just need aplan
[22:11] <Robert> Thank you Marc
[22:11] <random> longer term I mean
[22:11] <random> no worries
[22:11] <mikespub> what's wrong with your longer term ?
[22:11] <mikespub> ;-)
[22:11] <random> I don't consider those 2 urgent
[22:11] <random> I'm thinking of mail and the other stuff
[22:12] <random> theML
[22:12] <random> not sure what the status is there
[22:12] <random> tbh dracos explained it to me once
[22:12] <random> or chris did
[22:12] <random> but I forgot
[22:12] <Robert> Yes we do need a plan, not sure if the OSU people
ever got back with the PMC about them hosting mail.
[22:13] <random> there were emails yes
[22:13] <Robert> I do know we either need to find a sys admin or make
sure any future move is to a managed server/servers.
[22:13] <St_Ego> yeah, we need a sys admin
[22:14] <St_Ego> i have an appointment in 15 minutes. gotta jet.
[22:14] <Robert> I sent an email to the PMC on the 11th about another
hosting compnay that provides free/donation supported open sourse
hosting (to some big projects non the less) but not sure if anyone got
the email.
[22:14] <St_Ego> would still dependon having a sys admin to manage it
[22:14] <St_Ego> we have been putting all of that off on marty so far
since neither chris nor i have the experience
[22:15] <St_Ego> gonna be late for my thing.
[22:15] <St_Ego> back on in a bit
[22:15] <Robert> Pretty sure they would do most of the managing on
any new servers we would get from them.
[22:15] <Robert> Enjoy Chad
[22:15] =-= St_Ego is now known as St_AFK
[22:15] <random> yea, at present I can provide the server, but I
frankly rather not admin the stuff :)
[22:16] <Robert> Why we have been looking for outside sources (or I
have been anyway, the PMC did start talks with OSU, not sure about the
other company I found though.)
[22:16] <mikespub> Robert: something to talk about when you catch up
with Chris
[22:16] <random> +1
[22:16] <Robert> Yes Very correct Mikespub
[22:16] <Robert> +1
[22:16] <random> OK, so this is not an urgent deal
[22:17] <random> we just need to findanadmin and get a plan for the
longer term
[22:17] <Robert> Yes
[22:17] <mikespub> put it in the cloud ;-)
[22:18] <Robert> If we can't get OSU to host mail, we should consider
Google Apps for non profits, but that is a discussion for another time
and when we are updated on the status of OSU hosting mail.
[22:19] <mikespub> does google apps do mailing lists ?
[22:19] <Robert> What was the next item up for disscution?
[22:19] <random> I'm done
[22:20] <mikespub> ditto
[22:20] <Robert> They have "groups" I (or someone) needs to talk to
there sales people to see if we can use there gorrups (pretty sure they
still have a newsgroup interface
[22:20] <random> any other items?
[22:20] <mikespub> that's it for me
[22:20] <random> can we have the next meeting in a week?
[22:21] <Robert> All I have at this time on my end.
[22:21] <Robert> +1 for a meeting next week
[22:21] <mikespub> +1 if Robert & Chris get together ;-)
[22:22] <Robert> I am sure we will
[22:22] <random> makes sense
[22:22] <random> who will chair it?
[22:22] * mikespub looks at random's chair
[22:22] * random suggests the dictator
[22:22] <mikespub> you look good in it ;-)
[22:22] <random> I'll be here I think
[22:22] <Robert> Marc wanna
[22:22] <random> and can do it
[22:23] <Robert> lol
[22:23] <random> but it is more proper for PMC to do it
[22:23] <Robert> I didn't finish typing
[22:23] <random> but w/e
[22:23] <mikespub> heh
[22:23] <random> done
[22:23] <Robert> What I was going to say if Chris doesn't have time
we can co-shair it next wek or you can take the lead :)
[22:24] <Robert> co-chair*
[22:24] <random> kk
[22:24] <Robert> Goodness, I typo to much
[22:24] <Robert> Either way doesn't matter. to much
[22:24] <random> thanks to everyone who has taken the time to attend
[22:24] <random> feels good
[22:24] <random> *------- MEETING ENDS -------*
