Changes in PMC

In yesterday's meeting one of the topics was a discussion of the status 
of the PMC, in particular in light of the fact that the election 
foreseen for January was not (yet) held. In the course of the discussion 
Marty Vance declared his resignation from the PMC.

At this point I'd like to thank Marty for his dedication to the project 
over the past months as PMC member and long before. It has not always 
been an easy time,and I am aware that he felt frustrated at times. I do 
hope his break will be temporary.

In substitution of Marty, Robert Town was nominated, and he graciously 
has accepted to step in. Although Chris Powis was not present, we are 
informed that both he and Chad Kraft are willing to continue on the PMC. 
We are therefore fortunate to have a group committed to moving the 
project forward, and I hope they will meet with support and cooperation 
from the rest of us.
