Maybe this should be qualified as "Open Source CMS systems". Complete 
control of output as well as input is available in (MacroMedia) Spectra 
(of which Macromedia stupidly stopped all development when they took 
over Allaire, but which is still in use in many locations). I believe 
that other high-end CMSs have similar capabilities, though mybe not as 
elegantly as provided by Spectra.

It's the very fact that I was aware of and to some extent familiar with 
Spectra's paradigm that made me see the capabilities of Xaraya (as 
opposed to some other Open Source CMSs that I looked at). Rather than 
re-examining my paradigms, I needed only a small "shift". For me, Xaraya 
provides better "brainfit".
