I'll try an answer some of your specific questions over the next week. I'm sure others who know other areas of the system will chip in with their descriptions. Some of your questions are from a user viewpoint, some from a developer viewpoint. In other words, as a beginner or a site administrator, you would not need to know all those answers at once. That is something that may feed into the documentation. Play around with the www.xaraya.com site and see how the system works from a user's point of view. Log onto the demo site and see what it looks like to an admin. Create a publication and see what it looks like, and where it ends up. Try adding categories and see where they appear. That's my best suggestion to start with. Once you get a feel for the system, the answers may make more sense. -- JJ
