Agreed, but that's what we have the content management for. I'm not sure
how, but it should be possible to hook up content to that screen so it
stays attached to the raw table information. If it's not possible (yet),
i'm sure Mike will be interested to add it, or have it added.
Just trying to think with you how to do this as easy as possible (not to
mention that i want the documentation as well ;-) )

Sure, but would you be interested in working with us to get this information
on our site somehow and also maintain it there? That way it's central. We
try to centralize information like this on our servers, people expect it
there.
