Install Help!!!!!

Hi

Does anyone know how to successfully install Xaraya?

I am using PHP 4.3.1 and mySQL 3.23.49 

All I get are - 

(SYSTEM Exception) DATABASE_ERROR_QUERY:
ErrorNo: 1064, Message:Database error while executing: 'SELECT xar_pid,
xar_name,
xar_realm,
xar_module,
xar_component,
xar_instance,
xar_level,
xar_description
FROM xar_privileges p INNER JOIN xar_security_acl acl
ON p.xar_pid = acl.xar_permid
WHERE acl.xar_partid = 3'; error description is: 'You have an error in
your SQL syntax near 'INNER JOIN xar_security_acl acl
ON p.xar_pid = acl.xar_perm' at line 9'.

If I run install with Create Database. It creates some tables and then
gives the above error.

Settings for PHP, mySQL are correct been using these for ages.

Any help please?
