Xaraya 1.0.1 with php5

Good Morning,
Always behind the times, I'm finally planning to upgrade my
webserver to PHP5 so that I can begin working with Xaraya 2.x code.
I've currently got several sites running on Xaraya 1.0.1 on the
webserver which I would prefer not to upgrade immediately.
When I load PHP5 onto the server the Xaraya 1.0.1 sites seem to continue
operating correctly, though I suspect there may be underlying issues of
which I'm not aware. Does anyone know if Xaraya 1.0.1 is compatible
with PHP5?
Also, I had installed phpaccelerator for PHP4, and I can't seem to find
any sort of accelerators/encoders/cachers for PHP5, any help in this
arena would also be appreciated.
