The behavior of Links and Files is currently not consistent because content-objects get located within the teaser area. Imho it would not be consistent too, if these objects had an attribute which controls where it should be displayed, because none of the other objects have this. Strictly speaking, the ZMS has two content areas. The main content area in the middle and the teaser-content area at the right side of the screen. The distinction which kind of content an object is is done by creating an ordinary object or a teaser object. Introducing attributes which take control over that would mix up the whole concept and would put into question the split up between main content and teaser completely. Why not disposing the teaser and putting elements to the right area by attribute control only?
