how to index select-fields in zcatalog?

Hello developer-group,

is there a way to index the selected values of select and multi-select  
fields with zcatalog as well?
textfields are indexed, but i get no results on select-field values!

ZMS: ZMS 2.11.1-51  (Build #131k)
ZOPE: (Zope 2.10.4-final, python 2.4.4, linux2)
PYTHON: 2.4.4
