Most of the "very few" complains are usually coming from former Typo3 or Yoomla! users which are sometimes still thinking in that pre-historic solutions. As soon as they understand just the basic concepts of ZMS most of them are excited about the new fact, that things could be done much easier then in that (self pronounced) "professional" PHP- and relational DB based solutions. May be "professional" means there that the CMS users have to be professionals to be able to work with that software. So what I suggest is, > that the discussion should be more of how to make this information > accessible to the public and to improve and involve the ZMS community > into the development and documentation, so one can see and understand > the magic of ZMS. YES too here. I'm currently working on a free and open ZMS ressource portal in ZOPE where each ZMS developer / user can upload and maintain his: - ZMS extensions / extension packages - special objects (incl. docs) - formats - actions - further HOWTOS - and may be a a public project / job market for ZMS professionals if someone is interested in helping me here a bit pls contact me. During the last years i wrote a lot of new (often very special - from very simple to very complex) and rewrote all still published extensions and special objects for ZMS which i want and will publish too under GPL on a dedicated place. May be others here are in the same situation and interested in such a place. As far as i can see there are still very good projects from different peoples (and their webistes too) which should be easier to find for typical ZMS users. I assume the ZMS core team has not the time to maintain such a platform - but yes, they are very welcome to contribute and participate everytime ;) > Last but not least we need to find a date! A date somewhere from the middle of January would be much more comfortable for me and my time plannings. cheers, NIels. -- --- Niels Dettenbach --- Syndicat IT&Internet http://www.syndicat.com T.-Muentzer.-Str. 2, 37308 Heilbad Heiligenstadt - DE --- Kryptoinfo: PGP public key ID 651CA20D Fingerprint: 55E0 4DCD B04C 4A49 1586 88AE 54DC 4465 651C A20D https://syndicat.com/pub_key.asc ---
